Gail, who has been on the Medical Economics staff since 1997, writes on a wide range of topics and edits the magazine's Malpractice Consult column. In 2001, she won the American Society of Healthcare Publication Editors' silver medal for an article about how physicians can identify and help domestic violence victims. She also won Jesse H. Neal Editorial Achievement Awards three years in succession for "how-to" series she developed and directedon starting a medical practice (2005), finding a job (2006), and adding ancillary services (2007). Prior to joining Medical Economics, Gail worked as an editor and writer for Collier's Encyclopedia, Oxford University Press, H.W. Wilson Company, and other publishing houses. She has a bachelor's degree from the City College of New York and a master's from Fordham University. |
