    7 things physicians need to know about MACRA proposed rule

    Primary care physicians learned more details this week on how they will be paid by Medicare as the federal government takes a big step into the value-based world.

    The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA) law, which did away with the much-despised sustainable growth rate formula in 2015, now has a proposed final rule, which means physicians can glean how the formulas that will determine their pay will actually work.

      It will likely take 1 high salaried or 2 low salaried employees to do the required documentation for this nonsense. Another nail in the coffin for private practice. However, even very large group practices will struggle to meet these requirements.
